Lagos Court Lifts Ban On Omoni Oboli’s Okafor’s Law
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Justice Ibrahim Buba of the Lagos Court lifted the injunction today paving the way for the public launch of the movie on Friday as planned.
The injunction was issued by the judge last Friday following a suit by Canada-based Nigerian, Jude Idada.
The injunction and a confiscation order that came with it had stopped the premiere of the film at IMAX Cinema in Lekki Lagos on 24 March, souring the party mood of the scores of guests at the three-legged event.
Idada, while suing Omoni Oboli, claimed the movie was his intellectual property.
In reply, she said the idea and the movie was hers 100 per cent.
